Why should Tenafly compost?

-
When you throw away organic waste, it ends up in landfills and releases methane, a potent and harmful greenhouse gas.
-
The average Bergen County household throws away 14 lbs of food waste per week. This makes up around 30% of all household trash!
-
Throwing out food waste is bad for the environment and costs Tenafly hundreds of thousands of dollars each year.
-
Your garbage will be less smelly!
