Tenafly residents - sign up for the Tenafly Community Composting Program!

 

Tenafly municipality has created a community composting program for 100 homes in Tenafly. 

 

In this program participating homes can make use of 3  compost drop-off sites at the recycling center, Sunnyside Park and Churchill Nature Preserve. Once you've signed up, you can access the sites through a combination lock.

 

This program will cost participating homes $15 per month  and a one-time startup fee of $16+tax. The cost includes:

  • An airtight bin for your home

  • Liners for your bin

  • A virtual educational session about how to compost

  • Information on where your food scraps are going

How does it work

1.) Sign up

2.) Receive the bin and liners at your door

​

3.) Fill bin with food scraps

​

4.) Drop-off at a Tenafly drop-off site

 

5.) Repeat steps 3 and 4 at your convenience
